Regarding a possible update to RaccouBass.

Due to the fact that no one responded to the search for a developer to rewrite the OSC on the previous blog, it was decided to update and change other things.

What is planned to happen with the synthesizer?

At the moment we are trying to completely rewrite the synthesizer and fix a lot of bugs and try to reduce CPU consumption.

There is a possibility that the design and knobs may be changed, but that is still an open question.

What will be new in the next update?

• - A regular arpeggiator will be added.
• - A simple chrords will be added.
• - There will be added a basic ADSR knob for the sound filter.
• - Envelope ADSR will be added with a function to turn it on and off. In addition to this it will be possible to control both direct signal and its inversion.
• - Adding full stereo sound with depth.
• - Adding a midi filter to eliminate the error of knocking some notes out of the overall sound.
• - Adding a Pitch Bender knob
• - Switching to an older version of Oscillators.
• - Adding knobs like Stereo to control the operation for both a more mono sound and improved stereo sound.

What else is possible in the update?

• - Complete rewriting of FM block structure, possibility of correct Phase Dist operation.
• - Improvement of FM-block working as FM-Operator.
• - Addition of SV-filter for LFO.
• - Addition of alternative sound width shift for LFOs
• - Addition of audio phase shift for LFO.

What will be fixed in the next update?

• - Bug with detun knob that works as unison.
• - Weak sound signal with WaveShaper Mod. The sound is seriously muffled.
• - No sound filters in FM block and no response to ADSV.
• - The button to turn on the filter has no effect.
• - Full operation of FM block is broken, only a small part of functionality works.
• - The effects block work from a common Amount knob and each effect will have its own effect strength control.
• - Balancing the sound completely and all oscillators. As the signal starts to clip and can just go silent and make clicking noises.
• - A very loud signal on the output from Main VOL.
• And maybe something else will be additionally fixed, additional problems of the synthesizer are being found out.

What will be changed in the next update?

• - The Swing knob will be renamed for its logical function in signal shifting.
• - Bit Crusher,Smooth effects will be moved to the Effects block.
• - Sound Filter, WaveShape Mod buttons will be changed.
• - FM block will be rewritten completely. 
• - Removing First Wave,Second Wave, will work from FM 1 Wave & FM 2 Wave buttons.
• - Visual structure can be seriously changed.
• - LFO-blocks will be completely rewritten and their routing and the addition of a menu function to select where to assign the signal.
• - Removal of Velocity button.
• - Removal of the OSC enable button.
• - Removal of BPM Clk as it does not carry any functionality.
• - Simplifying/Replacing the Tune block.
• - ADSR in FM block will be fully implemented and will be dependent on OSC operation.
• - Adding possible functionality of Phase Dist operation separately from OSC.
• - Adding new menus for functionality in each OSC itself.
• - The functionality of most effects will be rewritten properly.
• - Replacing some effects to improve synthesizer performance.
• - For the Step Sequencer (Mini Arpeggirator) the option of rewriting the module from scratch will be considered, it is currently being investigated whether it breaks the synthesizer as a whole.
• - The overall effects can be changed.
